Adrian Winter
Adrian has been teaching English at Guangdong Peizheng College in Guangzhou for 3 years. Before that he spent 2 years teaching at a primary school in the small, traditional town of Sihui. During his time in China he has appeared on TV advertisements, judged a ballroom dancing contest (without ever having danced himself) and spent time in a village where all the women had hair down to their ankles. He was also once asked to return home from a wedding with his gift (a clock) for accidentally wishing death on the couple.
Adrian has traveled in five continents and around forty countries. His experiences range from climbing mountains in Africa to being one of the few foreigners to have trekked through the rainforests of West Papua. He hopes his travel experiences will help the authors find their way deep into China’s heart.

Albert Wolfe
Albert is fluent in Chinese and is the author of the language instruction book Chinese 24/7: Everyday Strategies for Speaking and Understanding Mandarin. He also runs the Chinese language-learning blog LaowaiChinese.net.
He worked his first year in China at a college in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. His second year was spent as the sole English literature teacher at Yunnan Agricultural University in Kunming, Yunnan Province. The next three (going on four) years have been spent working at Peizheng College in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.
During his five years in China, he’s served as a translator in many capacities, hosted a televised English speech contest, appeared on a Chinese-language radio talk show, and gigged with a local rock band for the opening of a new supermarket. Albert has also written a few Chinese pop songs (available here) and currently serves as the director of Peizheng College’s drumline and percussion ensemble.
